This criterion is linked to a learning outcomeResearch
To achieve a higher grade, students are expected to conduct further reading and research on the topic, and relate the content of the leadership debates to this additional research. Connecting the research literature, particularly from relevant journal articles and other scholarly works, to the analysis of and answer to each question may result in higher marks being awarded. Generally, an adequate response supported by non-scholarly Internet articles will attract a much lower grade. 6.0 Pts

This criterion is linked to a learning outcome Demonstration of disciplinary skills and knowledge
This assignment is to relate to the discipline of political science and is not just about leadership as taught in the discipline of management. To that end, students are encouraged to demonstrate their disciplinary skills in their work. For example, an outstanding response will include a discussion of the relevant disciplinary aspects such as discussions of power and influence in the context of political systems and normative aspects of ethics and national political cultures. A bare pass will simply describe the effectiveness of the leader with little engagement with the disciplinary skills and knowledge. 6.0 Pts
