The Raspberry Pi is among the fastest growing technologies in the market today. lt was developed in the United Kingdom a product of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, created to enhance the learning of basic computer science studies in learning institutions especially those in the developing countries (Raspberry Pi Foundation). Raspberry Pi can be used in robotic which led to it selling at beyond the target market. The technology comprises of a series of single-board computers that are small in size and with the fat selling rates, it became the bestselling computer made in British. Models The Raspberry Pi has a range of models that have been created to date since release in 2012 (Johnston, & Cox, 2017). The first models under the Raspberry Pi 1 family include the Raspberry B, A, B+, and A+. The Pi 2 family comprise of Raspberry B. The Raspberry Pi Zero family is made up of the Raspberry Zero and W/WH. The Raspberry Pi 3 family is made up of modifications of the previous models of A, A+ and B+ manufactured between 2016 and 2018. The latest model developed this year, 2019, is the Raspberry B model which falls under the Raspberry Pi 4 family, with a standard form factor, wireless, and has the Ethernet hub components. Hardware The board of the RPi was designed with school going children in mind which means that it is simple and easy to use. lt is made up of a processor and graphics chips among other components such as the Random-Access-Memory, a variety of interfaces, as well as connectors that guide with the external devices.
