The five management functions that are highlighted by the chapter are planning, organizing, staffing, leading, as well as controlling. I am of the opinion that it is controlling that will be subject to drastic changes. This function entails evaluating input by employees and the nature of output as a result of their functions. Thus, it is this function that will experience the most changes since there are different tools being employed to help in evaluation of the performance of the staff against the set goals (DeCenzo, Robbins, & Verhulst, 2016). Therefore, chances are high that the traditional control process will be preplaced by automated and more advanced models. Additionally, employee performance is bound to be limited due to the evolution of technology that is bound to reduce the need for workforce input (DeCenzo, Robbins, & Verhulst, 2016). Hence, the need for controlling will even be minimal as it will be characterized by the performance evaluation of system rather than human resources. However, leading will experience the least change due to the never-changing need for processes and activities to be regulated. Proper regulation is through the presence of leadership doctrines that will always pay attention to the traditional and basic ideologies of leadership. While I might not agree with your viewpoint, I feel that the evidence that you provide which relates to job-hoping is irrefutable as it based on a credible source. Additionally, I share the same opinion that job-hoping is a trend is phenomenon that is becoming very common in most organizations although I feel that it does guarantee drastic changes to the function of staffing. Control function, will experience the least changes is the assertion by your post and I agree with you based on the fact that as it stands it is still being employed based on its traditional aspects. By tackling the effect of technology on the need for human resources, your post dwells in a very controversial topic relating to the effects of technology. On that note, I share the same opinion as you that technology will make the need for human resources to be limited affecting staffing. On a different note, I also belie that leading will face the last amount of change due to never-ending need for administrative obligations for any undertaking. It is interesting how you note that the function is even facing a myriad of changes in the current age meaning that your assertion is valid. If the changes that are being seen continue, the unction is bound to be the pone with the most changes. On another note, I also believe that leadership will be subject to the least amount of change since there is little on change in leadership models that are employed and new ones that are set to be developed.
