Interview Report To get input to the research question, I conducted an interview of five adults. Jim Kay was a manager in a bank. I interviewed him at the bank hall and the interview took around 40 minutes. The findings from the interview was that integration of public schools would benefit all races effectively. Kay was comfortable and liked the questions. Ray is a school teacher and I interviewed at the school. The interview took 1 hour. The interview found out that integration of schools would be useful and race affects education. Ray was happy with the interview and was willing to take part. As such, I was able to get good information from him on the influence of race on education. In addition, Sasha is a university graduate who is majoring in education. I interviewed her at the university campus for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The interview determined that race remains a critical element of education in the society. I observed that Sasha was interested in learning more about the impact of race on education. Kevin works as an administrator for the department of education. I interviewed him at his office for 45 minutes. The finding was that there is a need to set up an education policy that improve education equality among all races. I learned that Kevin was motivated with the subject and he was keen to influence education policy in the country. The last person I interviewed was Kerry at a local diner for around 1 hour. Kerry is a local employee at a diner. The interview found out that race relations have significantly impacted on the education of the students in the local public schools. I observed that Kerry was passionate on the idea of promoting equal opportunities for children from all races to learn. All the respondents were comfortable during the question period. They were also open to the probing about their answers, which was good. I believe the conducting of the interviews with the five adults was successful. For example, I provided the questions to the respondents and they were able to come up with detailed responses on the questions. My effective listening and observation skills helped me to check the mood and feedback from the respondents effectively. I was able to listen to their input and ideas about the impacts of race and education. Their input was critical to create recommendations and conclusions on how race relations are inspired by education in the society. As such, the interviews were successful in gathering firsthand information from the five participants about the relationship between race and education. A qualitative research method was appropriate in obtaining the nature of answers I wanted from the respondents. This was made possible through the conducting of the interviews, which is an appropriate research method. The technique helps to engage the participants closely and thus, providing direct feedback and qualitative information. The qualitative research method is keen on presenting the non-numerical information and evidence. The non-numerical information and finding is useful in describing the relationship between the variables and how they can influence the society. The interviews method was useful and links well to the qualitative research design to obtain ideas and opinions from the participants. The conducting of interviews and qualitative design is appropriate for descriptive and case studies research works. Descriptive research depends on qualitative information gathered from the interviews. For example, the description of the impact of race on education would be made possible through the interviews. The interviews give good responses that would help the researcher to develop a comprehensive descriptive research finding (Cole, 2017). Similarly, the case studies type of research would be developed easily through the interviews. It is because the interviews involve persons with influence and ability to conceptualize the case studies effectively.
